Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CornerGrub’s website, mobile app, vendor tools, support channels, and related services (together, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, browsing vendors, posting a listing, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use CornerGrub. If you use CornerGrub on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
2. Accounts and security
- You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for activity under your account.
- You must keep your login credentials secure and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk, misuse the Service, or violate law.
3. Customers
- Customer-facing vendor information may change quickly. Always confirm food availability, pricing, allergens, ingredients, hours, and location with the vendor.
- Any purchase of food or goods from a vendor is a transaction between you and that vendor, not CornerGrub.
- Use caution and your own judgment when traveling to a vendor, meeting a vendor, or buying food.
4. Vendors
- Vendors are independent businesses and are solely responsible for their food, operations, listings, employees/contractors, permits, licenses, insurance, taxes, health-code compliance, food safety, allergens, pricing, claims, and customer interactions.
- Vendors must provide accurate, current, and lawful information, including business name, location, schedule, photos, menus, prices, and service status.
- Vendors may not post misleading locations, fake availability, unlawful products, stolen content, false reviews, or content that infringes another party’s rights.
- CornerGrub may remove or limit listings that appear inaccurate, unsafe, unlawful, misleading, abusive, or harmful to users or the platform.
5. Food safety, allergens, and legal compliance
CornerGrub does not verify, endorse, certify, or guarantee any vendor’s food, ingredients, allergens, preparation methods, permits, insurance, health inspection status, or compliance with local, county, state, or federal law. Vendors are responsible for all required permits and compliance. Customers with allergies, dietary restrictions, health conditions, or safety concerns must confirm directly with the vendor before purchasing or consuming food.
6. Reviews, photos, and user content
- You are responsible for content you submit, including reviews, photos, profile details, menus, and messages.
- You may not submit fake, defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, infringing, misleading, or unlawful content.
- By submitting content, you grant CornerGrub a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, distribute, and use that content to operate, promote, and improve the Service.
- We may moderate, remove, restrict, or refuse content at our discretion.
7. Subscriptions, payments, cancellations, and refunds
- Vendor features may require a paid subscription. Pricing and renewal terms are shown before purchase.
- Subscriptions may be processed by Apple, Google, Stripe, RevenueCat, or another payment provider. Payment providers may have separate terms and policies.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal through the provider or billing portal used to purchase.
- Before a subscription begins, we present the applicable price, renewal terms, and cancellation information and require affirmative agreement to those terms.
- App Store and Google Play purchases are managed by Apple or Google and refunds are subject to their policies. Stripe-billed vendors can manage or cancel online through the CornerGrub billing portal from account settings; we do not require calling or contacting support to cancel online.
- Access may continue until the end of the paid period after cancellation, unless otherwise stated at purchase or required by law.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law, violate food safety rules, or promote unlawful goods or services.
- Post fake vendor listings, fake locations, fake reviews, misleading menus, or fraudulent content.
- Harass, threaten, abuse, impersonate, or discriminate against anyone.
- Scrape, crawl, copy, or harvest data from CornerGrub without permission.
- Bypass, attack, reverse engineer, overload, or interfere with the Service, security controls, payment flows, or access restrictions.
- Upload malware or attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
9. Intellectual property
CornerGrub, including our name, logos, branding, designs, software, and platform content, is owned by CornerGrub or our licensors and is protected by law. You may not use our branding or platform materials without permission except as allowed by law.
10. Third-party services and links
The Service may rely on or link to third-party services including Firebase/Google Cloud, Google Maps/Places, Apple, Google, Stripe, RevenueCat, Expo, Cloudflare, and vendor websites/social pages. We are not responsible for third-party services, content, policies, outages, or actions.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, CornerGrub disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, safety, and reliability.
CornerGrub does not warrant that vendor listings, locations, schedules, menus, photos, reviews, prices, or availability will be accurate, complete, current, legal, safe, or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CornerGrub will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, personal injury, food-related claims, vendor disputes, missed vendors, inaccurate listings, or transactions between users and vendors.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CornerGrub’s total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid CornerGrub for the Service in the three months before the claim or (b) $100.
13. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CornerGrub from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, your vendor operations, your food or products, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, caused harm, or used the Service unlawfully. Some sections of these Terms will survive termination where appropriate, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in California will have jurisdiction unless applicable law requires otherwise.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date shows when changes were made. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
